What Color is Goodbye?
Next in line for the door is Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge. I can only hope that his color-coded threat system lives on in his absence. (Although, really, if we're only going to use two of the five colors, can't we simplify it a bit?)
Mary thinks that Bush will name Rudy Giuliani to the post, and the Mayor certainly has earned some kind of reward for his endless attacks against Kerry during the campaign. But I'm going to go the dark-horse route and say it's going to be Lieberman. I'm a little conflicted about this choice and what it means for the other Democrats in the Senate, but given everything thing Lieberman has said and done in the last few years, it seems more apppropriate that he be designated as "senior Bush Administration official" rather than "D-CT".
