Battistero di San Giovanni

The East Doors are a marvel of bronze sculpture and are agreed to be a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture, noting a departure from earlier works with use of perspective and naturalistic scenes. Lorenzo Ghiberti spent 27 years completing the commission depicting ten Old Testament tales.
