Elmwood Cemetery

Now that I've been running again, one of my favorite routes takes me looping through Elmwood Cemetery, a 72 acre tract just a few blocks from the center of town. I've long been meaning to go back with a camera and take a few pictures, and a few weeks ago, I finally did.

Great cemetery photos!

On the photo of Harold Linker's headstone, it seems more likely that Harold was four years old (1913 - 1917) rather than ninety-nine years old. A lamb on a headstone typically indicates it's a child's grave, with the lamb symbolizing the innocence of youth.

You should add some of your photos from Elmwood to Find A Grave and give young Harold a decent online burial.

So that's what the lamb means! I updated that caption, and I'll take a look at Find A Grave, too. Thanks for the help.

Blah blah blah...
