College Football Update

As we put the recent election craziness behind us, it's good to get back to your roots. For me, that means dutifully reporting each week the football happenings of the three schools I happened to attend those many years ago.

South Carolina got smacked by Florida, 48-14. The Gamecocks grabbed the lead early, but then it was all downhill. USC is 6-4; final game against Clemson is next week.

Cornell came from behind to beat Columbia, 32-26. The Big Red are 4-5, and finish up next week against UPenn.

UMass is 5-5, and was off this week.

I arrived at this post in search of South Carolina blogs. I'm very surprised about how little, if any, the buzz has been about Lou Holtz stepping down. This NCAA College Football site posted an announcement briefly. Plenty of conversation about Spurrier taking over though. Lou Holtz is one of the best, and deserves a legend's send-off, not this.
