It has been a long week. Check that — it's been a long year. It's a gorgeous fall day in DC, and if there were a god, I would be playing golf with Fred right now — judging by the time, I'd likely be teeing off on the par 3 15th on the Blue Course at Hains Point. But, as I've known for a while now, there is no god, life is unfair, and you can't win for losing. And to think, I was actually contemplating a Florida vacation when all this was over.

But life, unfair as it may be, does go on, and it's time to return to the things that make me happy. That being said, expect this site to be down for a while over the weekend, not that anyone is still reading it after my long absence.
