This morning, I played East Potomac Park in DC, an easy public course (slope=110), but I don't care about that — I shot an 89. Five foot bogie put on 18 sealed the deal. First time ever that I've broken 90. I love this game!

An embarassing revelation: Kevin Costner movies tend to make me cry. Shit, I'm a wuss. But as an aside, I have to say: I like Kevin Costner because he's a geek. He's made two sci-fi flicks, and "American Flyer" and "Field of Dreams" are films that are clearly the result of a certain focuesed nerdiness. Go Kev!

CNET: Microsoft drops Smart Tags from Windows XP. I added the meta-tags to turn this crap off in the sites I work on at my paying job two days ago, and I'm not going to pull that code out quite yet. But I am relieved that MS has decided, at least for the moment, not to try to turn my content into their content. SmartTags are bad for the web, period.
