The New York Times has an excellent summary of the history of the Microsoft case, with many previously unpublished statements from Judge Jackson, the government, and Microsoft. Fascinating stuff. Assuming it's even half right, it's hard to believe Microsoft so badly miscalculated so many times.

Yesterday was a great day. In the morning I played golf, and for the first time in my life, I shot 90. In the end, though, the pressure of the round got to me, or I would have scored in the 80s — I triple-bogied the 18th. In the afternoon, I finally went down to the city rec center just up the street and swam some laps. It was a great feeling to be back in the water after all these yeats — I'll definitely be going back again.
